The HAUL-OFF system is used to measure the elongation capacity of melts under constant haul-off speed or under linear or exponential acceleration of the haul-off strand. The pull-off force required to stretch the melt strand is measured and used to calculate the apparent elongation rate as well as the elongation viscosity, the elongation ratio and the elongation stress.
